TÜBİTAK UZAY has finished manufacturing, assembling and integrating Türkiye’s first lunar spacecraft under the Lunar Research Programme. Domestic content is over 80%, with 56 of 65 critical items developed in Türkiye. The spacecraft now goes through thermal vacuum, structural and electromagnetic compatibility tests, with launch targeted for the first half of 2027. It will operate for at least three months in a polar orbit about 100 km above the lunar surface, observing the Moon’s water cycle with four science payloads.
